I get to a website - any website, and the browser flips wildly between various pages, etc. Reading email, it reverts to previous screen, comes back for a second, reverts to multiple previous screens, websites and search listings I can barely stay on this website. This is really blowing my mind.

I think this is a Firefox issue. Anyone else experience this?

This is now getting worse and worse. I can't do anything.

Try a different browser...if problem continues with different browser...I would suspect malware.

You might also try dumping your browser cache.

Excellent idea there - @hamluis

On many occasions I have dumped the cache and "fixed" weird things in FF.

That's the first thing I did was clear the cache. Even then, I couldn't stay on the firefox website long enough to report the problem. I finally got on for a few seconds and copied and pasted

Try Cliqz - it is the closest thing to FireFox I have found and is now my main browser - much faster than FF and basically nothing new to learn.  In the mean time you can figure out what is going on with FF.  Personally, I would re-install it.
