Hello,

My system has been shutting down unexpectedly 2-3 times now in the past week.  Newer computer purchased about a year and a half ago.

Was just on it and it completely shut down and went to restart and the American Megatrends screen came up. I understand this is my BIOS (picture attached) Why is this coming up and asking for me to enter setup to configure?  I will be running a few different scans  just to make sure all is well.  Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

As a starting point, if you are being asked to go into the BIOS, go into it and press F10 - this normally is the 'Exit' key - and at the options screen that then appears choose 'System defaults and exit' or some wording to that effect. There are many modifications that can be made in the BIOS but accepting system defaults should get you booting again.

I am going to be away until about the 22nd October. Time on-line will be reduced and my internet access may be limited. PMs may not be replied to as quickly as normal !

Thanks, I will try that next time.  Still not sure as to why this is occurring.  Will keep checking systems for errors.

Thanks again.
