Internet VERY slow

its not the computer that is running slow. Its the internet from page to page. I have roadrunner and it seems like its 56k. Its never been slow like this before downloads are fine, however page to page is entirely to slow

Downloading a file through the web browser is fine, yet opening up pages is not?

YEs like if I were to download a file from say microsoft it would d/l very fast but loading from page to page is extrememly slow

open up internet explorer, click on tools, internet options, connections, and click on lan settings. Make sure you do not have use a proxy server checked.

I am confused as well. Your downloads work fast yet the pages transitions are not. You use a firewall? Disable it for a bit and see if that helps.

Its not something as simple as emptying temp internet files / deleting cookies / clear history is it? as i had a similiar problem like this once but cant remember what the cure was.
