Hi this is my 4 year old rig. I am thinking of updating the motherboard. Would that be the best option? I am on $400 budget. I play a lot of AAA budget games so need fast one!

Would I bet better updating mobo or getting faster CPU?

Neither, the intel 3570K is still a good processor and with RAM prices being so high changing to a newer platform is a bit foolish right now.

I would focus more on the games settings then your hardware.

What games are you playing?

I run a 3570k 16g ram along with Z77X-UP5 TH-CF it is still considered one of the better gaming rigs, most online battles are won with a GREAT graphics card!
