Hi Gary, here is my RKILL log. I was curious to see why it says windows defender is disabled while the setting in my control panel tells me otherwise.

Thank you for the log Stephen.

The RegAss.exe file is not malicious.

Most 3rd party antivirus programs (you have Avast) automatically disable Windows Defender in order to avoid performance issues. As you can see, the Addition.txt report shows Windows Defender Antivirus is Disabled. 

AV: Avast Antivirus (Enabled - Up to date) {8EA8924E-BC81-DC44-8BB0-8BAE75D86EBF}
AV: Windows Defender (Disabled - Up to date) {D68DDC3A-831F-4fae-9E44-DA132C1ACF46}


I don't see any issues with your computer. Do you have any concerns?

  • Download Delfix and save it to your Desktop
  • Double click the icon
  • Place checkmarks in:

Remove disinfection tools
Create registry backup
Purge system restore
