Potential rootkit infection - Advice needed

For the past 2-ish days Win10 os laptop has had v.high memory usage when at idle, to the point where application/the system crashes frequently.

 

I have ran a GMER scan (see pastebin below), however a warning indicating it was being blocked by Avast appeared.

Would this affect the validity of the log, and how would I go about removing a rootkit if I am infected?

I should have mentioned in my original post that MBAM and Avast scans either don't start, or stall at 0%

MBAM chameleon does work, but does not appear to have solved the issue, nor found anything of interest.
