Yesterday, we bought a used Acer AST-180 desktop computer from a thrift store. It has windows 7 installed. After tuning it up and doing installs for ready use to the internet, we connected through our home Wi-Fi system. While my wife was doing updates and checking a few things, we noticed that the new computer identifies itself on both our Wi-Fi PS3's as a storage device under the video tab in the PS3 menu
.Clicking on the Windows logo represented by the computer on the PS3 displays the following message:
Access to the media server is not allowed. It is possible that the
system name for this PS3system, "PS#-231", has not been registered,
Check the settings for the media server.
We have a laptop wi-fi device in the house that does not identify on the PS3 menu. Is there a way to disable this computers setting and stop the icon from appearing on the PS3?
Could this become a security concern? When the computer shuts down, the windows icon disappears from the menu.
We do not play online games with these PS3's. Only to game and browse internet etc.
Thanks in advance for recommendations.
