Hi John

Ok went through the diskpart thing, line showed mark disk active.  Can't do it tried several times.  Need to clean this disk as it was out of the tower with Win7 Pro I am cloning using the Intel software, being a clone it will not format remove the partition and format the disk first.  I am pretty sure leaving the EFI system partition will not work!

Doing the clean command should have removed the partitions. I would use Partition Wizard to delete the partitions on the SSD.

It should not make a difference if in the tower or not. You could always use a live GParted disk to delete the partitions but it's not as simple as Partition Wizard. The steps are a little different.

When you tried to delete all partitions on the SSD did you use the delete partition command in Partition Wizard? Did you click the apply icon after deleting all partitions?

What error did Partition Wizard throw?

Just down loaded Partition Wizard 10.2, Hit the delete all partitions Still can not delete the EFI 100bmeg partition, this is getting stupid.  I am quitting for today don't feel great, will try what ever tomorrow or maybe later after a nap!

Thanks for sticking with this!

When you get the time please post a screenshot of Partition Wizard with the SSD attached showing all disks. Thanks.

Screwed around with it a little more, now shows no partition but not full size.  This is getting nutty, I am thinking dump it and buy a new one that has garbage collection IMO this one is before that time.

Disk 3 the SSD is reported to be 111.79GB. That would suggest a advertised size of 120GB. What size was the SSD advertised as?

If your drive was advertised as 120GB then 117.79 is about the normal size that Windows sees.

Looks as if it is Ok now, not thinking to clear only slept about 4 hours in the last 24.  The mini drive only has 37 gigs on it so lots of room for garbage
I will try the clone see if it goes good, may not put it in the LT until the week end. See how it goes the next day or so.

Did the clone this AM, changed boot order tried SSD in the enclosure, no problem lit right up.  Will swap drive a little later.

It is up and running boots in about half the time, program load quite a bit quicker.  All in all works much better, was it worth it yes and no.  Yes because the drive and my time were free, no if I had to by a drive or worse paid someone to do it!

Thanks again John
