I can't get the NVIDIA Control Panel to open. Go to Control Panel, I click on NVIDIA through and the cursor will spin for a few seconds, and you can see the process start and run for a few seconds in the Task Manager, then it stops. Will not open up. Tried restatring, but no help. The system shows as up-to-date.

Any ideas?

It sounds possible the driver is corrupted or not installed properly.  You could download the latest version for your hardware from https://www.geforce.com/drivers and install them manually.

If you are using the wrong graphics driver or it is out of date or corrupted, NVIDIA Control Panel missing or won't open. So, you can try to reinstall your NVIDIA display drivers.
Go to the NVIDIA Download Drivers page to download the driver. Select the correct Product Type, Product Series, Produce Model and Operating System..

hope something helps you

if nvidia control panel is not opening, my first advice is to reboot your system, most problems gets solved just by rebooting the system. If that doesn't help then follow the following steps.

  1. see if nvidia display driver service is running or not, to see that, type "msc" in run dialogue box and hit enter. a service window will open find and double click on nvidia display driver service, a dialogue box will open make sure that the startup type is "automatic" and service status is "start".
  2. 2nd method is set the resolution of the screen high, apply the setting and reboot, usually nvidia cp requires high resoultion to open up so that's why.
  3. third is uninstall graphic cards driver, reboot the system, re-install the driver manually or automatically. if you want more graphic friendly approach then look at this now.
