There was an installation failure in an attempt to reinstall itune. The following error message was noted: the install script engine is missing from this machine, if available, please run ISScript.msi, or contact your support personnel for further assistance. I had applied varies possible solutions, but to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestion in resolving this issue without having to reinstall or repair Window XP?? Thank you very much. MGBy.

Try and get the Windows Installer Clean Up Utility from here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;290301

Try it out. It might remove enough leftover files from the borked iTunes
and QuickTime installations to let you re-install them successfully.
