I've been using BitTorrent for a couple of months now and it has worked fine but now my download time is much lower than before; between 1kb/s - 5kb/s so downloads take forever. My upload though is much higher 15kb/s to 30 kb/s.

If this can be fixed I would love to hear about it.

Im unsure of this since I have never used bit torrent.

Have you posted a HJT log. You could have many processes running in the background. Maybe........

Have you tried another download manager?

Like DAP or free download manager?

What did you do? What did you change, install or uninstall?

How many sources(peers, seeds) do you have?

BitTorrent uses a different port for every source it downloads from, so if you have a router or a firewall that only lets your BitTorrent clinet through one port you can only download from one person at a time.

 Phew so many questions...not sure I understand them all - but I will do my best to answer them.

I have taken a closer look at my problem and it seems to be only this one torrent that behaves that way - I tryed another one and the DL speed was normal on that one. According to ABC the Seeds on "the problem torrent" are 10 and peers 14.

I have not tried another download system - I did in the beginning and had all kinds of problems so i stuck with ABC

I did post a HJT log 2-3 weeks ago regarding another problem I had - and my system was cleaned thoroughly (i think at least...just did what I was told) and I have not installed or downloaded any programs since.

Hope that answers some of your questions - maybe this has something to do with the torrent - not my system?

I think its the torrent. Just use another DL manager if it works? Or do you like Torrent so much you really want it fixed?

I have the same problem with G3 Torrent, but not with ABC. You might try limiting your upload upload speed to around 10kB. Also, are your ports forwarded? check this port checker while running BitTorrent.

There are 10 kinds of people. Those who understand binary notation, and those who do not.
