hi i recently downloaded an online golfgame and i'm having problems with my internet explorer. when i go to sign into the game the sign in button doesn't appear like it is missing either macromedia flash player or shockwave. i installed both of them and it still doesn't show up. what should i do. i am running a HP pavillion laptop with windows xp home edition. my friend has the same game and it works for him so i know it's not the website. i also tried installing directx 9.0 but still no luck... please save me from this horrible nightmare i am ripping my hair out from frustration!!!!!

thanks, TJ

It may need an Active X control.

Try deleting it and downloading it again and watch for a yellow alert band at the top of the IE window.
Allow the Active X control when prompted.

Could be a Java problem. Go here and update to 5.0 update 9 (4th download down for end users)
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

Also check to see if you have older flash players installed. Look in Add/Remove.
Remove any older than flash player 9

To remove 8 or 9 you will need this tool:
