Hope all are doing well this morning. I've been messing with computers since first learning BASIC in 1972 on a computer our high school had. It had a paper teletype-style output instead of a monitor, and we saved our programs on punched paper tape. I have no idea what kind it was.
Fast forward to 1981, and my first of 2 Commodore 64s. In '87 I got an original IBM PC (64k on the motherboard, cassette port on the back, 320k 8-sector floppy drive). You could turn it on and then go make coffee, and when you got back it would be just about ready. Wish I still had that one - might be worth something as a museum piece.
I started with DOS 2.1 and even Windows pre-3.0 (2.1?) Can't remember - lotta water under that bridge.
Anyway, now, I'm just a user. Pretty sophisticated, but no longer programming or really up on all the latest hardware. I can rock Excel, though.
Glad to be in this forum. Maybe I can help, maybe get some help. We'll see.
Happy to be here.
