Was not sure what section to post this in.

This AM I received this old post in the mail: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/524882/how-to-locate-and-delete-duplicate-folders/#entry3764171

It dates back to July 2015, seems odd I would be receiving a post that old.

Do you mean you received a notification of a post in the topic? That can happen if a spam poster adds to an old topic, and you have notifications enabled. If the spam post is deleted before you see the notification, the topic will then appear to still be the same old topic it was before the deletion of the spam. There's no way to retract a notification when the post that caused it gets deleted.
