When I boot up, after choosing the user, I get two windows pop up error messages. The first says:
rundll32.exe – Bad Image
The application or DLL C:\DOCUME~\NETWOR~1\ntuser.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.
The second one comes up immediately after closing the first popup and it says:
Error loading C:\DOCUME~1\NETWOR~1\ntuser.dll
%1 is not a valid Win32 application
This is a dell Inspiron B130 laptop running windows xp home edition version 5.1,
(Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_qfe.130704-0421: Service Pack 3)
I think I deleted an important file. I've tried to reinstall XP from the CD but a message says it will not work because the version of XP I am running is newer than the CD that came with the computer. Should I just boot from this CD and reinstall XP? Is there a way to just install the ntuser.dll file that seems to be the problem? Any other ideas?
Thanks for any suggestions!
