I enrolled for a trial at MyHeritage.com, and decided not to buy a pay subscription.

I deleted the MyHeritage program in my Downloads folder, but the MyHeritage Family Tree Builder persists in opening its sign-up screen (see my attachment) every day.

Can someone suggest how I can end this behavior?

Check the settings for Chrome...there's an option under "On startup" that says "Open a specific page or pages at startup.:"  Just delete the MyHeritage one.

Unless you have Malware that should do it.

What about the Firefox option "On Startup"?

In version 57.0.4, the only options I see are Show your homepage, Show a blank page, Show your windows and tabs from last time.

Sorry, I thought your first screenshot was Chrome.  But your Firefox settings look okay.  Is there anything related to MyHeritage in Control Panel?

And check in your list of installed programs for My Heritage or My Family Tree Builder. If either or both are there it is

best to use a program such as Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware in Advanced Mode to insure a complete uninstall.

Some junky programs' uninstallers leave a lot of stuff.

Okay, I found My Heritage in Explorer and went to check out the REVO Uninstaller and found out the download originates at cnet.com.

Maybe I will take my chances by uninstalling with Windows Apps & features.

No, there are no Extensions, according to Firefox.

You can get the REVO uninstaller through BC direct from the author's site -

There is a free portable version available in the link I posted. I'm going to start recommending that one.

Burgos925...thanks for reporting that the free version is hosted at cnet. I don't know when that started to be

but I'm like you...wouldn't want to risk getting some really nasty adware.
