I booted Mint KDE 17.3 on this AIO and the Desktop don't fill the screen.  There is about 3/4 of an inch around the whole screen that is black.  I've never seen this before, has anyone else, and if so is there any fix for it, or will it go away when installed?

It was nice that the temps were included in the inxi, saves me work.

Thanks, pcpunk

Do you get the same issue with a live DVD of Mint Cinnamon 18.3? The resolution and refresh rate in your log looks correct.

Edit: Does changing the resolution to a lower one remove the black space?

Just keep in mind touchscreen support in linux is very spotty and it effects more than just if the touchscreen will work or not.

Its going to work eventually but linux and touchscreens are not exactly on good terms.

Which part of the first sentence is important here John, the DVD or 18.3?

I will try that next time I boot it John.

Ahh, forgot about this Madman, I'd booted from a few Touchscreens before with no problems, but now remember folks having issues with them.  I may vaguely remember someone with this same issue, I'll google it some more.

Well do remember it depends on the touchscreen, some are better than others under the linux drivers.
