So I've been getting freezes/crashes with my pc (my thread:https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/666843/pc-freezing-when-gaming/ )

I ran driver verifier yesterday but it was so slow that it couldn't get in Windows and it crashes constantly while trying to boot. I could finally get into safe mode and disable it a few hours ago. The pc could be restarted with the power button, however, when I pressed the button it shut down in 1 second, instead of having to press the button for about 4 seconds, this does indicate a crash/freeze right?

So does this indicate a software problem? Or can it still be hardware problem?

Crashing while running Driver Verifier may or may not indicate a problem.

It also may be either hardware or software.

Depending on the settings that you use, Driver Verifier can slow your system to a crawl.
It does this by stressing drivers.
