Am running Xubuntu 16.04.03 LTS x64. The internal microphone is not recording sound at all. It works in my Windows 10 Home Premium partition though. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite P55W-C5200X. How to fix this?

Go to sound preferences, under input, and make sure the check mark for mute is unchecked.
