I installed Sophos Anti Virus thinking it was an Anti-Malware program, and Sophos Anti Virus and Webroot Secure Anywhere don't seem to like each other.  Sophos is telling me to uninstall Webroot..........but Webroot is my paid Anti Virus and I don't want to get rid of it.

I've been trying and trying to uninstall Sophos, but it just won't work in the usual way by Control Panel, Uninstall, and I was told to go to Safe Mode and try that way, BUT I can't get to Safe Mode.  Obviously something is wrong with my Windows 7.

Do you think the best way to rid myself of Sophos now is to do a Recovery and start from the beginning again?

Is there another way?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

You will want to make sure your Sophos antivirus is not updating when you attempt to uninstall. If the shield in the System Tray is not solid, the software suite is updating. You must wait until it finishes and returns to solid.

If you continue to have problems, you may want to contact and ask Sophos Support...

Hi, Dippster!

And if the first uninstall method does not work, from quietman7's first link above, you can try this second batch file method for uninstalling Sophos Home: How to uninstall using a batch file.

Good luck! :)

That's actually the same link which provides both ways...the batch file instructions are just further down. :)

Hi, quietman7!

Exactly. I just thought I should point it out since she actually stated that the first uninstall method did not work. :)
