Hi guys,

 

Recently my computer has been BSODing with an IRQL not less or equal error. Using osronline I found that it was an AV synTP problem. I'm not 100% sure how to handle this (probably update drivers?) so I wanted to check in here to make sure I do this right since I need this computer to be working properly quite soon.

 

This is what osronline gave me

SYMBOL_STACK_INDEX:  3

SYMBOL_NAME:  SynTP+94570

FOLLOWUP_NAME:  MachineOwner

MODULE_NAME: SynTP

IMAGE_NAME:  SynTP.sys

DEBUG_FLR_IMAGE_TIMESTAMP:  58ac1697

FAILURE_BUCKET_ID:  X64_AV_SynTP+94570

BUCKET_ID:  X64_AV_SynTP+94570

The BSODs are not often but they are seemingly happening randomly which is a bit confusing.

 

Manufacturer-Sager

OS-Windows 10 v1709 build 16299.192 64 bit. OEM

<1year old

 

Laptop

CPU-i7 7820HK

GPU-1070 8gb

Remove any Symantec software you have while waiting for a response.
