i have a silly question. i bought my laptop with 512MB RAM a while ago, however, i just noticed it says 448MB of RAM in the System Information, where did the other 64MB go?

My guess is that you have either
  • 64 MB of RAM being used by your onboard video card or
  • 32MB for video & 32MB for something else.
:thumbsup: download & install this 3.0 MB program to take the guesswork out.
