Talk about a great way to start 2018...a full moon! Don't forget to take a moment and gaze up in the sky.  :inlove:

TODAY - TUESDAY, JANUARY 2, 2018
The Moon today is in a Full Moon phase. During a Full Moon the moon is 100% illuminated as seen from Earth and is on the opposite side of the Earth from the Sun. The Moon will be visible throughout the night sky rising at sunset in the east and setting with the sunrise the next morning. The point at which a Full Moon occurs can be measured down to a fraction of a second. The time it takes between full moons is known as a Synodic month and is 29.530587981 days long.

It's really lighting up the sunroom. Usually it's so dark you can't see the lake through the windows at night, but the water has been glistening beautifully in the moonlight the last few days.

The moon's beautiful this evening in the desert, like a spotlight, outdoor landscape lights are off. Sunrise & sunsets are great here too. Satchmo's 'What a Wonderful World' comes to mind, how can it not?
