I have some photos which have .THM file extension and I have tried all ways to open -

I have tried to download 'File Opener'  however could not get past other programs you have to download too.

Can anyone recommend or preferably give me link to a free safe  program which will open these files?

Thank you in anticipation of any reply.

Can you open the files by changing the extension name to .jpg? THM are thumbnail image files.

"VLC Media Player" might open them, plus it is a nice helper program to have.

Thanks for replies -  JohnC -  I had a go at changing the file name to .jpg and it worked but only got a very small photo so will have a go at the other suggestions or try to find out how to enlarge the photos

I don't think you will be able to enlarge the images without losing quality as THM files are thumbnail images.
