( Before anyone starts rambling, no... this isn't a support topic )

I am curious if anyone has downloaded Speccy within the past few days or so? I did on my parents computer as I was needing the to find the specific hardware component to find the driver online for it and while installing I was not presented with a checkbox that said CCleaner would also be installed. Ever since avast! acquired Piriform, users' of all kinds have reported forceful installations... I personally am not liking these little 'stunts' Piriform is doing.

Have you tried turning it off and back on? :P

I just downloaded Speccy, with no unwanted baggage attached.

I used the Piriform website...I have no faith in other websites hosting downloads and will use non-developer sites only when no others exist.

I used the Piriform website as well. It's believed they are doing a trial such as 'X' amount get's another version of the installer. I'm unsure but either way it's kinda annoying.

Just like, CCleaner, if you don't want any bundled software often found with installers, use the portable free version (spsetup***.zip) found on the Speccy Download Builds page.

@ AnythingButMalware, the page reads as below with 2 downloads, not a single download.
It seems like you were not sure the First Speccy download was completed, so you hit a second Download button. (the old trick).. See Below.

Get a cleaner, safer and faster Android in seconds!
Free download
This is offered just as an add on after you install CCleaner free. There is a distinct Free Download button just to add CCleaner.

One clue for the future is to "Hover" your mouse (or whatever) over the button and most times you get a preview of the program you are accessing..

If I "Hover" my mouse over the link it will say https,//etc, etc, and piriform.ccleaner at the end (above my windows 8.1 Start button).
