Hey everyone,

This is a new machine I've been installing games/software on.

Right now I'm running into an issue where every time I launch, an "InstallShield" window is in my alt-tab list and my Processes, but not in my taskbar, so I can't actually alt-tab to it or see the actual window anywhere.

That's what it's looking like, right now. I've checked my startup and there's nothing in there.

I can close the process either via the task manager, or simply by clicking on the little X at the top right of its alt-tab square:

I used "Autoruns" and filtered "InstallShield" and found this:

Any help much appreciated!

I found this thread which seems to describe my issue; https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/627429/installshield-isuspmexe-issues/

However, unchecking the "+ "\Optimize Thumbnail Cache Files"" then restarting my PC, like seems to be the solution on that thread, did not resolve my issue.

It the InstallShield Update Service Scheduler listed in your startup programs?  If it is open the Task Manager and disable it.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
