I am using a Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H motherboard.

Just wondering if it makes any difference which SATA port the DVD drive is plugged into. I have the C: Windows drive plugged into SATA 0. I also have two removable hard drive racks that are plugged into SATA ports. Should the D: DVD drive be plugged into SATA port 1?
Thanks for any help you can give.

This is an RTFM (Read the fine manual) moment.  According to the manual, page 12 of the PDF, you have four SATA 3 and two SATA 2 ports, connect your drives accordingly.  If the drive is SATA 2 it doesn't matter which port you use.  If the drive is SATA 3 you're going to want to use one of the four SATA 3 ports, unless they are full with other SATA 3 drives.
