Hello friends,

I am a technology geek who loves computers.  Periodically I run across news articles from Bleeping Computer that are featured on Google News.  After reading the article, I occasionally find myself wanting to add a comment/insight...but then when I see that registration is required (no SSO), I usually bag the idea and continue along in my busy life.  Today I finally had some time and remembered to create my account -- woot! :D

I'm a professional software engineer with interests in cryptography, reverse engineering, network communication and low-level operating system internals.  I love to learn how things work from the ground up.

Most of my life I've been a Microsoft and Unix & Linux proponent.  Although I stay intimately familiar with the latest Windows internals, I must admit my enthusiasm for Windows has drastically waned since the introduction of Windows 8.  I'm not a fan the new direction Microsoft is taking and moved most of my host machines to Linux and use virtual machines for Windows.

Well, I think that is it for now.  Nice to meet you and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas & New Years holidays!
