Below, I have provided a copy of my HiJackThis Logfile. Please let me know what I must remove from there. I'm having trouble discerning between ThinkPad programs and other stuff. Please help removing the virus. Thank you kindly.

Hi Treikayan

You got infections there.

Create a new folder named HijackThis to your desktop.
Download HijackThis again from here to your desktop -> Link
Or move HijackThis from the following folder to your desktop: C:\Temp\HijackThis.exe

Move HijackThis.exe to the HijackThis folder on your desktop.

Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
http://www.beyondlogic.org/consulting/proc...processutil.htm

NOTE: Do not run any other options from SmitfraudFix until I tell you to do so!

Thanks, Mr. Jack.

I'll download that program.

How come you would like me to move the HijackThis program to my desktop? Is it not running properly? By default, our company uses C:\Temp as a default location for programs.

Thank you for you assistance.

EDIT:
I just downloaded the program, but it didn't give me an option to save it somewhere. I don't know where it went and I don't know the name of the zipped file.

I tried downloading it again. It still doesn't give me a "save as" option. Also, I do a search on *.zip and the name of the file, and I still can't find it. ::shrug::

Hi again

When we fix entries with HijackThis, the program creates backups to a backup folder.
The backup folder is created to the same directory as HijackThis.

Temp stands for temporary, and those folders are usually cleaned regularly.
Cleaning would cause the deletion of backups too. Then if something goes wrong, we couldn't restore anything.
This is the reason why HijackThis.exe must be in it's on folder.

I assume that you can't locate SmitfraudFix.zip ?

Please right click the following link with your mouse -> http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip
Now you should be able to click "Save Target as"
Then you'll be able to determine the target location.

Please ask me if you got any other questions :flowers:

Thank you, Mr. Jack. I'll bear in mind the folder location for HJT. I downloaded the file and saved in our "Kill Spyware" network folder here at our company.

When I have the user's computer back again, I'll run the program. I'm not sure when the user will have his computer back to me.

Ok...

But when you get the computer back, we'll need to do the cleaning all by once.
This is just because the computer may get re-infected is something is left behind.

Sorry for the delays...I only have this individual's computer once a week.

The red entries are questionable and perhaps seen as a threat. Please could you verify? I haven't made any corrections yet...
