What exactly is the operating system on brand new MS Surface devices?

     I'm having a bit of difficulty figuring out what the current operating system is on the brand new, current generation of Windows Surface devices exactly is. Any ideas?

Okay, thanks. I couldn't tell for sure as they don't make it very obvious. Especially in a physical store.
