How To Configure & Personalize Gmail Account

I was surfing around the internet to configure my Gmail account but was unable to configure. Will anyone help me out.

You should at least, click on Settings and check what you find in all the different sections or tabs.  So many options to choose, that you want to first become familiar with which ones they are. 


Sign in to your Gmail.  Look at the interesting panel on the left; it should resemble what you find in other email account interfaces.


Find the button at the upper right of the screen, with the gear icon in it.  Click the arrow and look at the list.  See the Settings item listed.  Click on that item.


"Wow!"  You should say, looking at so many different options under so many different tabs.  You will find the tabs to the many different sections along the top of this display. 


If you try to find what you specifically are interested, in each section, you may be able to make your best choices.  Otherwise ask about something specific you want to do..   Dealing with my most desired options of interest took me some time, maybe a couple of different Gmail sessions.
