Slow internal network speeds?

I have a WNDR3700v4 router.  I am connected to my 5ghz wifi network.  I am using iperf on two linux hosts to measure internal transfer speeds.  Here are the speeds I am getting: 4.92 - 6.53 Mbits/sec.  Is this bad?  This does not sound right...
