I ran Spybot trying to find the hack that keeps making MSN newspage pop up. Here is what came up. Are any of these the culprit?

First of all - welcome to BC !

If you are using either Edge or Internet Explorer then MSN is your default homepage, there is no 'hack' involved. that is the way MS release it. You can always set your homepage to your preference through Settings or Options.

I am going to be away until about the 22nd October. Time on-line will be reduced and my internet access may be limited. PMs may not be replied to as quickly as normal !

Hi thank you for the welcome

I realize that I can set my homepage and I have done that. The problem is the browser pops up without me prompting it. For instance, I went away from my desk this afternoon while my computer was scanning and when I came home there were 10 windows opened. MSN pops up without me giving it any prompt. It does not open to my default browser.

forget spybot!  too old.  use malwarebytes, adwcleaner. from the download site on this website.  both of these work better then spybot.
