Hey so we've been getting BSOD's at least once every time we use this computer. Here is the link to the Speccy system snapshot. http://speccy.piriform.com/results/Ukiva78s1LvpKWk3pAkz4e4 and I have attached the SysnativeFileCollectionApp.zip as well. Please let me know what I can do to fix this. Thanks for all of your help!

Hi,

Having symbol errors with most of the dumps. However, most of the dumps (over the months) have differing bugchecks, usually indicative of hardware problems. Hence, I'd encourage you to start with the following hardware tests:

Run them in the order listed. If one fails, stop the test and don't continue with the others. Feel free to come back if you have questions.

Thanks,

bwv848

I will run the tests, but I just got my system back from Best Buy who checked the hardware via warranty and said that there was nothing wrong with the Hardware.

Would still run them. I managed to find some indications of a potentially failing disk.

Are you sure you ran them all? :) Usually it takes much more time than that. Even if SeaTools passes, I'd still like to run a CHKDSK:

:step1: Check Disk

WARNING: It is recommended that you backup ALL your files. If CHKDSK finds and repairs a corrupted sector, you may lose your data.

  • Click Start, enter cmd.exe in the Search box, right-click on cmd.exe, and then click Run as administrator.
  • Type the following command and hit ENTER:
chkdsk /R
  • You should see this message:
The type of the file system is NTFS.
Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process.  Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)
  • Type Y and hit Enter on your keyboard.
  • Restart your computer and CHKDSK will run.

Once CHKDSK is complete, we need the log:

  • Click Start, enter powershell.exe in the Search box, right-click on powershell.exe, and then click Run as administrator.
  • Copy this command:
Get-WinEvent -FilterHashTable @{logname="Application"; id="1001"}| ?{$_.providername –match "wininit"} | fl timecreated, message | out-file $Env:UserProfile\Desktop\CHKDSKResults.txt
  • Right-click in Powershell to paste the command.
  • You will find CHKDSKResults.txt on your Desktop. Copy/paste that log in your next reply.

And just for good measure, a good old SFC scan.

:step2: System File Checker

  • Click Start, enter cmd.exe in the Search box, right-click on cmd.exe, and then click Run as administrator.
  • Type the following command and hit ENTER:
sfc /SCANNOW
  • After the scan is finished, you will see one of three things:
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. Details are included in the CBS.Log %WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log %WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log.
  • If you see either of the two latter messages, please immediately enter the following command:
findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt"
  • Then, attach sfcdetails.txt, which is found on your Desktop, in your next reply.

After you've completed the two above, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions:

Driver Verifier - BSOD related - Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7 & Vista

I ran chkdsk and attached my output file. I ran system file checker with Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. being the result. I ran Verifier as asked, but when I clicked on finish and rebooted, it seemed like nothing is running. I even tried again by right clicking and running as admin. Anyway, I will try a 3rd time. then repost any new news.

It wouldn't let me attach the chkdsk, so here is a copy/paste of the file.

What exactly do you mean? Driver Verifier is supposed to run in the background. :)

Are you sure you ran them all? :) Usually it takes much more time than that.

Can you answer this question from my previous post?
