Can I upgrade this computer

So I have a HP Pavilion 500 - 164. Just wondering if I could upgrade the cpu or something.

There may not be any use in upping the processor, especially on a pre built but there may be some other things we could do.

There are no viable upgrades for that motherboard. To be more precise, all better CPU's are not much better than current one so upgrade would be very small.

So you could upgrade CPU but new CPU would be just little better so it's not worth hassle/money.

Indeed but there are other things one can do to possibly make the machine run better.
