Hey Guys,

I am not a PC technician. I just use computer for daily works. Now I got a big problem on using my new Macbook.

I keep my family photos and files on HP computer which has been working for nearly 8 yrs. Recently, I bought a new Macbook. It works as a charm.

I want to transfer photos and files from the old computer to Macbook. The files size is it too big. I don't want to spend too much time on uploading and downloading. I tried to a external hard drive. Thus, a big problem came. The hard drive worked well on the elder computer, but it wasn't recognized on Macbook while it was connected. I was told the external hard drive can not support Windows system and Mac system. They are separated, file format can not recognized between each other!!! I had never met such problem on transferring files through usb flash drive or hard drive between PCs before! It's a bit crazy…

Whatever, I still need to move my files to New Macbook. I was recommended to buy a Plugable Windows Transfer Cable on Amazon. I found it on Amazon. I felt disappointed because my new Macbook only got a very slim port. It doesn't support a standard usb connection.

You guys got any suggestions, please? Thanks!

I ordered a data transfer cable on Amazon which advertised to work between Win and Mac. It seems much easier to me. Many thanks!
