I'm trying to get a handle on spyware/adware/etc. I have several programs but I don't really trust the programs to automatically remove items it thinks are bad since I did that one time and had to reinstall my dsl software. I want to learn exactly what the items are and how you can tell if they are not legit. When I've searched for stuff returned by scans I seem to to end up here quite a bit so I figured I'd actually register.
