Cd?dvd Combo Bad Block?

My DVD?CD combo unit stopped reading disk I've tried flashing the bios, upgrading the bios, changing the IDE cable, I changed to cable select. In the event viewer it states "cdrom has bad block? Can anyone help me

It stopped reading all disks, both DVDs and CDs?
You could try one of the CD/DVD cleaners. You can normally pick them up at any electronics store.

Here's a sample of what I mean...
