Download the Wifi driver only, not the one for bluetooth.

32bit/64bit Windows7, Windows8.1, Windows10 WLAN PCI Express Driver (Install package) 2023.56.0502.2017 2017/6/26 33134k

You say Windows 8 in the post title. Is the OS 8 or 8.1? I can't say it would make a difference but the Realtek site states Windows 8.1. This isn't Windows RT is it?

Right click computer. What edition of Windows 8 is on the computer?

Then the driver I listed only works for 8.1. The system should be updated to 8.1 as Microsoft does not support it anymore with security updates. Either update through the store or reinstall the OS using the media creation tool. If the computer was pre-installed with 8 the key is in firmware. If not, pull the key with produkey.

You can try updating the driver in Device Manager using an Ethernet connection

Edit: Try this driver for Windows 8 if the customer still wants 8. I saw a Windows 8 and 8.1 folder in the extracted file. Provide a junk email address after click the hard drive icon.

Thanks but is that link is to download Driver Identifier or the driver itself? If the driver I am not seeing a download button for it.

Click the little hard drive icon with the green arrow then provide a junk email address to get the download link from HP.

That seems to be a scanner and not a direct driver but running it anyway

Yeah, that's for driver identifier. Ok so next step would be to update to 8.1 after using produkey to get the license? If yes, would that key work for sure with 8.1 Standard?

I don't get a scanner. I would not use the Scanner if it is scanning for drivers. Did you register for a new account using a junk email address?

Here is the direct link.

No problem, thanks for the update. Whoever uses the computer should definitely upgrade to 8.1.

Yes, Windows 8 keys work for Windows 8.1 and if the key is embedded in firmware a key does not need to be entered during the install.
