So I reset hardrive and installed windows 7 on it with my windows 7 cd. It all worked put fine except that everything is as BASIC as it can be. I built my pc myself and it is meant for gaming. I unfortunately do not have any of the cds that come with the hardware to get the necessary drivers. I cant connect to internet as well because my ethernet cable is not recognized.

Motherboard: MSI z97-g45
Graphics card: MSI NVIDIA 970
Cpu: intel Core i7-4790k

I realize i made a mistake by not backing up my drivers before hand, but what can i do to make my pc workable again.

On another computer, download the LAN driver package from here:

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z97-G45-GAMING#down-driver&Win7%2064

Copy to a flash drive, install onto your computer, connect to internet and download the rest of the drivers.

Likewise for whichever model your video card is, e.g.:

https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/support/GTX-970-GAMING-4G
