This board seems to be using IPB3, which I have absolutely no objection to us using, but has a IPS4 upgrade been considered? I'm only wondering over concern of the board's security and the fact most users will prefer a more modernised interface (though this may raise issues if people try to access the forum after a clean install of Windows 7 for example).

IPS4 is also extremely bloated in my opinion: IPB3 uses way less resources than IPS4, I'm not sure what causes the DB bloat :P

Also, one thing is that IPB3 does not support PHP 7 and later and will not run on it, so keeping it would be impossible to upgrade the server (unless board coders have already fixed things).

An IPS4 upgrade cannot be avoided, but I hope that we'll stay on IPB3 for as long as possible. I'm an active helper on Malwarebytes Forums which upgraded to IPS4 around a year ago and I can tell that that it's a real PITA :(
