Since installing the update.. KB4041676, I keep having to restart my computer as the update didn't take. This is going on a few weeks now. Make that a couple of months.

What is the version and build of Windows 10 that you're currently on?   Hit the Windows Key and immediately type winver then hit enter to find out.

I would try going to the Microsoft Windows 10 Download Page and using the Update Now button to update your machine to the Fall Creator's Update.

Version 1709 has been very stable and often these sorts of cyclic errors disappear when the bulk of Windows 10 gets replaced as part of the version update process.

I'd normally recommend Updating Windows 10 using the Windows 10 ISO file but I've been having difficulty with the Media Creation Tool throwing an error for several days now.  If that has resolved itself I always prefer creating bootable media from the Windows 10 ISO so that I have it if I want to update another machine or do a reinstall of Windows 10 from scratch. If you do go this route, and the Media Creation Tool does not error out, would you please post back that it worked?

You're welcome.

Would you mind sharing which update route you ended up taking?
