The specs are old that is why.
But if they offer you the one with the nvidia go for it here (the red one)
Nvidia has better driver support.
Though sorry for your speed bump there, sadly refurbs can be faulty.

In terms of gaming it will run most of your games.
But if you want to make it a gaming computer you can as its a full tower computer.
You could gert the acer and just slap a better power supply into it (as no doubt it will come with a crap power supply unsuitable for erven a low end GPU)
then when you can get some cash pop in a graphics card into that puppy like a 1050ti.
Its got a core i3, still a good gaming processor, you just may have to finagle it a bit, nothing too hard.

its finally here, just finished the win10 updates. i have really slow internet speed right now.
had to download over 5gigs of updates on a 1.5mb speed
ill restart this in morning.
i like the 2 usb3 plugs up front, 1 hdmi at the back
the keyboard is weird, its soft pads for buttons, very very quiet just like the pc, i cant tell its on, just has a little light on top.
damn keyboard, have to press down more than im use to, oh well...... still happy with this so far.
windows10 ............... bleep, wish it was just xp like and not reinventing the wheel.
making system changes to those app things, im just shutting all that bleep down.
bleep cortana
if this doesnt blow up in a few hours i would highly recommend it.
ill start adding and testing this thing out more and more tomorrow.

gopod to hear, if you want a keyboard replacemnt, plenty of good ones out there both rubber dome and mechanical.
As for windows 10 vs XP?
Eh I actually have grown to really like the windows 10 interface, it inherited some of the problems of windows 8 but is very similar in UI to windows 7 which I loved a lot.
The taskbar especially is better then what it was as you can use it like a dock like the one found in OSX and some linux desktops.
If you want to know what linux is good chance you use it every day if you use android, or heard of a chromebook.

win 10 64 bit
does seem less annoying than win8
xp was simple, i loved win95!!!
ive always used other programs, outside of microsoft
flash games play great so far
have to really put effort into using the space bar.

Well again if the issue with the keyboard becomes too annoying do tell us when and we can give you suggestions.
Gather money up first though, and try to enjoy what you have.
They do have mechanical keyboards for as low as $25 and there are a few decent options in that price range.
For rubber dome there are plenty of decent ones in that market too.
