I was choosing a new Update Mirror and saw that Canada had a much faster download speed.  Should I choose a Mirror from another country or not?  Sorry, in Windows right now, will look at the Deets later if needed.

Sometimes I download from the University of Hawaii- it's pretty fast as well for downloading .ISO files!

Yes this is possible and I've actually done that before with various results, I remember the time I tried to use a Chinese server it was very funny.

Of course it's best to always choose a mirror closest to you that way you'll get a stronger signal and not have large download wait times

I've only used it for .ISOs but I guess you could use it for updates as well- I don't know!

If it has the power to host a iso then the rest is easy.
