Classic Shell. You will need to tweak it's settings.

Get Back to Classic Start Menu by downloading & installing Classic Shell.

Patch Windows Theme Files by using UXThemePatcher.

Now install Windows XP Theme.

You can switch between the Classic Shell and the Windows start menu by pressing the Windows key OS4o0pO.png and the Shift key.  Press the Windows key to go back to the Classic Shell.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

There is also an undocumented way (well a patch really) to completely disable DWM and use a classic non-skinned desktop.  You'd have to change a couple things because a couple features break, but you'll be back to a Windows 2000/XP classic-style desktop.

If you look towards the bottom of the page, you'll see what was done on one fellow's PC.
