Toshiba c850 windows 7 stuck black screen

Hello guys I need some help please.. My Toshiba laptop running Windows 7 ultimate starts up and just goes into black screen with cursor.. I tried all the options f8.. Tried repairing all failed.. Any suggestions please

What was the original Windows version on that system?

 

Have you tried simply restoring factory defaults?  Info.

Originally came with Windows 7 home Basic. A week back my friend installed Windows 7 ultimate..

If the Win 7 Ultimate is not legal...that might explain current problems, IMO.  Lots of problems get passed on that way.

I suggest that you install a Windows version with a legitimate license...if the one for 7U is not legit.  Forum rules prohibit members from rendering assistance with any system reflecting an illegal/unauthorized install of software, to include any version of Windows.

 

If you have a valid license/key for your Win 7U install...and you have the current problems posted here...I would first ensure that the hard drive is worthy of a an install effort...and then try Windows 7 Repair.
