This is related to a desktop :
Motherboard : ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3  BIOS 2101
Processor : AMD FX ™ - 6300 Six core processor      Speed : 3500MHz
Memory : 8192 MB ddr3
HDD :: Seagate barracuda 7200 RPM (2 nos) and Seagate P series all 500GB
OS versions tried to install :: windows 8.1 and 10 through USB , 3 pen drives tried both USB 3 and 2.

I have tried installing OS win 8.1 and 10 , tried 3 different ISO for each by creating bootable pen drives .

I have tried formatting the Drive as well as even tried deleting the drives and creating new drive for OS installation while installing.

Every time i have tried to install i get the below error message . There are 2 different error messages.

This message appears either while GETTING FILES READY FOR INSTALLATION OR INSTALLING FEATURES OR INSTALLING UPDATES.

I have tried flashing bios and even tried downgrading the BIOS version to 1401 .

Even tried connecting to different SATA ports.

Still facing the same issue .

Can you post the exact error messages? I can't see it in the above images. What did you use to create the bootable USB flash drives?

I see. There's issue in your bootable CD or the source you're using to install Window. Is it pirated one or genuine window?

I Used Rufus software and had downloaded Windows 10 from Microsoft and few from Torrents.

Will changing Ram / Ram onto different slots help me .

That's something I haven't tried. :smash:

No issue. But always prefer to use trustable source of torrent. There are several premium torrent provider. Use them.

Try with one stick of RAM. If you get the error switch slots. Substitute another stick if the first stick in all the slots fails.

If that fails then do the following.

Boot your install media and at the screen where it asks for language press Shift + F10. This will open a command prompt. Type the following commands. I would do this with only one hard drive installed, the one you will be installing Windows to.

diskpart    Opens a diskpart command prompt

list disk

select disk 0     The drive you will be installing Windows to. For a computer with one drive it will be zero.

clean all            This will zero wipe the hard drive and set it up for a clean install.

convert mbr       If you get an error ignore it and do the next command

exit                    Exits out of diskpart

exit                    Exits out of command prompt

Continue with the install. User the following guide. When you get to the windows showing partitions you will have none. Click next. Windows will automatically partition and format the drive.

Edit: zeroing wiping will take awhile. When finished you will see the diskpart prompt again.

John ,

Was successfully able to install OS over the weekend.

It was an issue with RAM . One of the RAM stick seems to be damaged .

Planning to upgrade RAMS now , kinda use 2 8GB sticks .

I use a FX 6300 6 core processor.

The specs from ASUS site says * AMD FX Series CPU on this motherboard supports up to DDR3 1866MHz as its standard memory frequency.

Can you please suggest which RAM would be a best match here .

If i buy ram from USA will it have an international warranty ?

Sorry, missed your post.

For memory see the Qualified Vendors for your MB.

In regards to the warranty, I would contact the maker of the memory stick.

Corsair Memory.
