I have a HP 15 Notebook PC running Windows 10.  A week ago, the sound started being heard in both the headphones and the speakers at the same time.   A couple of days ago, i downloaded the newest Realtek audio driver and now I have no sound in my headphones when they are plugged in but it still comes out of my speakers.   I then uninstalled the Realtek audio driver and downloaded the newest driver and I still have the same problem.  No sound from the headphones.  I do not think that my computer recognizes my headphones.  Please help

IS the headset working when connected to other devices? Please check that also. Devices fail randomly.

My device does not play the sound to the connected device until I select what type of device is it. Check if any such thing is happening.
