I have a Windows 10 machine made by HP that was damaged and is no longer functioning. A friend gave me an Acer laptop that is no longer working. The HP laptop does have a good hard drive. Is it possible for me to transfer the good hard drive that is in the HP laptop over to the Acer laptop. Does upper memory maintain the identity of the Windows 10 operating system. I am sure I would have to search in Acer for some of the device drivers. I just dont want to purchase another Windows 10 operating system.
