Hi, well group policy editor (Gpedit.msc) is not available in win 10 home, so I don't know what error you are referring to.

Do you want to disable driver signing check, is this what you are asking?

You can do this from the Recovery environment, select "Troubleshoot", then "advanced options" , next "Startup Settings". option (7)

Or modify the bcdedit (admin cmd prompt type:-bcdedit /set testsigning on), this opens a special "Test mode" for windows (disables driver signing). To get back to normal cmd as admin :-  bcdedit /set testsigning off.

Hi, well I did say to use cmd prompt, you used powershell, fortunately the cmd works in either. I note it say's success. So now restart computer (must be restart, not shutdown). Over to the bottom right of your desktop you will see a message about windows being in "test mode".

Complete what you want to do, open powershell again (as admin) and run the cmd again change "on" to "off". Restart and you are back to normal.

Windows 10 Home may not come with the group policy editor enabled, but it is there and can be enabled.

Press the Windows key OS4o0pO.png  and the R key to open the Run box.

When the Run box opens type cmd.exe, then press the Ctrl, Shift, and the Enter keys together.  This will open the Command Prompt with admin rights.

Unfortunately you haven't produced any information regarding the specifications of this computer.  You have not posted what graphics you are using, it's either integrated on the motherboard or is a dedicated card running from the PCI-E socket.

One of the potential problems with replacing graphics drivers is the fact that some manufacturers, like NVIDIA, require that you uninstall the old driver before installing the new driver.

Please post the make and model of this computer.

Please download and install Speccy to provide us with information about your computer.  Clicking on this link will automatically initiate the download.

When Speccy opens you will see a screen similar to the one below.

Click on File which is outlined in red in the screen above, and then click on Publish Snapshot.

The following screen will appear, click on Yes.

Then you are using the NVIDIA drivers.  This means that you can download the driver, but you need to uninstall the old driver before installing the new driver.

You should go to the manufacturer's website to download your drivers.  If this isn't NVIDA I'm guessing it's AMD?

Hi, I told DC3 this before, run only recognizes cmd, there are other ways however, you need to type cmd into search, cmd.exe will be returned (it is in the results and highlighted) then if you press the ctrl + shift + enter keys together (say yes to the uac nag, then an elevated cmd prompt will open)

And please do not post gpedit links for win 10 home, you will create havoc with users machines, since XP days people have offered this advice, it almost always ends in tears.. windows updates, any substantial feature update, registry corruption all come into play. Ms do make available a complete list of registry mods covering gpedit, this is the only safe way to apply gpedit settings on home.
